Heck no! He's playing you like a puppet. First week he calls 100 people, says to half ABC will go up and to the other fifty, he claims it will go down. When ABC goes up, he called the fifty he'd correctly predicted to and told half DEF would go up, and half it would go down. By the time he's at week five, he has a few people (2-4) thinking he's a stock market god.

Finally! A night out without the kids! Five couples went to the movie theater, and each couple watched a movie of a different genre, shared a snack, and then returned home at a different time. Can you figure out who is husband and wife, the snack they shared, the genre they saw, and what time they came home?
Wives: Theresa, Rochelle, Nikki, Anne, and Chanice
Husbands: Danny, Sam, Max, Kevin and Rick
Snack: Popcorn, Hotdog, Pizza, Nachos, and M&Ms
Movie Genre: Comedy, Action, Horror, Sci-Fi, and Romance
Time: 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 10:00, and 11:30
1) The couple that saw the action movie shared nachos.
2) It was almost midnight by the time Anne and Sam came home.
3) Rochelle hates sci-fi, but saw it with her husband anyways.
4) The couple that shared popcorn didn't see a horror movie or an action movie.
5) Theresa arrived at home an hour after Max and his wife.
6) The movie was so funny, Nikki almost choked on her hotdog, she was laughing so hard.
7) Danny chose not to see an action movie or sci-fi.
8) The five women were: Chanice, the one who shared a bag of M&Ms with her husband, the lady who saw the comedy, the woman that came home at 8:00 and Kevin's wife.
9) The horror movie didn't start until 8:30.
10) Max and his wife came home the earliest.
11) Theresa thought her movie went a little overboard with the explosions and gunfights.
12) Chanice, who saw the horror movie, came out of the theater petrified and her husband, who wasn't Danny, had to calm her down.

Ok, so here is the deal. One day, you get a call from some random guy who says "Next week, ABC stock is going to move up. I'm not asking you to buy any stock from me, but just take a look." You do so (why not, it can't hurt...) and he was correct. Sure enough, next week you get another call from the "Lucky Guesser". His pick? "DEF is going to go down." And guess what! He was right again!
For five weeks, this guy predicts the behavior of stocks. The sixth time he calls he says, "I've been right the past five times. This time I have a stock for you and I do want you to buy some shares through me. What do you say?"
Well, what do you say. Do you buy shares from this guy?

All Swaff has to do in order to be the winner, is use hot water.
Geemiee, being less cool than Swaff, didn't know that water with a hot average temperature freezes faster than water that is at room temperature. The phenomenon that hot water may freeze faster than cold is often called the Mpemba effect.

An officer wishing to arrange his men in a solid square found by his first arrangement that he had 39 men left over. He then started increasing the number of men on a side by one, but found that 50 additional men would be needed to complete a new square. How many men did the officer have?

Swaff is sitting at his desk, being cool, when his younger brother Geemiee walks up. Geemiee had recently been practicing his (fake) magical powers, trying to turn cheese into more cheese, so he believes he can beat Swaff in anything. He sets up a little competition, the first to get 5 ounces of water to freeze, will be proclaimed the coolest guy in their home.
They set up some rules, as follows:
-They both can only use normal water that comes out of their stainless steel faucet.
-They both use identical containers
-They both must use the same freezer, at the same time.
Now, Swaff realizes that if he was to lose, he would become less cool, he just doesn't roll like that. So, how can Swaff have the best chance of winning over Geemiee?

Radio towers are always painted with alternating red and white stripes. If the tower is over 700 feet tall, every stripe is 100 feet high. My friend just counted the 15 stripes and knew immediately it was 1500 feet tall. This only works if it's over 700 feet; if it's under 700 feet, the tower will always have seven stripes. Bonus Factoid: The top stripe on the tower is always red.

They anchored not very far away from the strange little island, rowed toward the shore and arrived safely. "Brethren, we've found the island. From the information we have so far, the treasure is hidden under one of these colored rocks on the shore and the rest of the rocks have a poisonous gas trapped beneath them. Alas, I can't afford to lose any of my crew members. If we could only decode the last part of these writings, we would know which rock the treasure is under. I will give ten percent of the find to anyone who is able to decode this last message!"
